As somebody who used Shorts when they were first being pushed while I had almost no subscribers, I can say they can cause people to subscribe, but those same new subs will not rewatch any other stuff that is uploaded.

That makes sense. I've seen a few channels floating about that seem like they are either similar or purposely copying you, but also don't seem like they would work as well as your videos do. Thank you for the response!

I think it's similar to the experience of going to a popular amusement park without kids vs. with kids. Without kids, I don't want to go because I know the bulk of my time will be waiting in line. Whereas w/ kids, they'll remember the fun bits more and that changes things for me.

You can borrow my 5 year-old's favorite self-affirmation. He says he is "cool and awesome and beautiful." And he definitely is.
