A lot of my talents have grown from the audacity to assume I could do a thing and the stubborn tendency to jump in before figuring out whether it was possible. I have so many people in my life who just assume "Oh, Veronica can do that!" & I'm too proud to say I can't... so I just do it! #KidLitChat

It really is! I could eat a whole vat of the popcorn custard filling. I had no idea, when I set out to make it (in response to a silly side-tangent thread here on #KidLitChat) that I could even make popcorn-flavored custard. But I did it, and I'm so glad I had the audacity to try!!

Exactly! Our work as creators has so much value beyond the monetary gains it may or may not bring. (Of course, this doesn't mean creators don't deserve to be paid. Art is essential to a life well-lived, so all artists should be paid enough to live well.) #KidLitChat

I'm also very thankful for all of the amazing authors/illustrators who have created the books that inspire my delicious #KidLitConfections creations! And of course, I'm super thankful to my parents, who not only taught me how to cook, but taught me to be fearless in the kitchen! Without them, I may never have had the courage to try most of the #KidLitConfections recipes I've created. Imagine a world with no Popcorn Pie!! #KidLitChat
