I worry that if CA reforms split roles without getting rid of the rest of it (esp the 2/3 threshold), we'll have the dead hand of Howard Jarvis strangling the state until we slide into the ocean

Repealing prop 13 would address the funding shortfall for SF schools and would provide incentive to build a ton more housing.

You kind of have to start with Carter on this, unfortunately. Airlines were deregulated under Carter, which is kind of the start of all of this. Carter then deregulated trucking, railways, and long distance telephone calling.
