29 years and that night is seared into my brain. I share my writing not as a reminder of what that traumatic night did to me, but rather as a reminder of how far I have come. I share this to remind anyone who has had this trauma, that you can live with the memory AND thrive despite it.

Happy Birthday to my beautiful mom. The last birthday I celebrated with her was when she turned 55. She would be 79 today. It's hard to imagine what she may have looked like, but I do know she would still be loving me fiercely. ❤️❤️ Miss you mom.

My 14-year-old son shut down an ignorant ass by calmly telling him in SEVERAL paragraphs why the land we are on is stolen land after this person insisted it wasn't. That person then deleted their post. Don't mess with my kid especially when it comes to facts and history!

Yes. I wish this was not true, but it is even after 29 years. It is why I will never understand how anyone can support a rapist. If they knew the agony of this trauma, they never could. I don't wish that pain on anyone.
