Watching cartoons in the car with the kids. I can’t help but notice that Zuma is Paw Patrol’s Aquaman.

I’ve misplaced my reading log and a very nice fountain pen, and I’m in a mild panic because there’s nowhere left in the house to search 😭

New year, new bullet journal! Decided to try out an A5 Leuchtturm1917 this time around instead of last year’s A5 Moleskine.

It arrived! Thanks @hardcover.app and @penguinrandomhouse.bsky.social for the copy of Project Hail Mary!

My Retroid Pocket Classic arrived in the mail right before the holidays and I’ve been busy with it ever since! Here’s a side-by-side comparison with the original Game Boy Color in Atomic Purple.

The older I get, the more my politics mature from childish, naïve beliefs like "the world is complicated and leaders have to make hard decisions" to more serious, adult principles like "hurting people is bad and helping people is good."

Someone please tell me that the background jazz cafe songs on Apple Music aren’t AI generated.

Ok last #Pluribus shower thought for the week: It just occurred to me that turning off the power around the world is actually related to the aqua cremation theory I had earlier. Aquamation would require lots of power to constantly heat the water required to process a nearly a billion bodies.

I think it could be a Soylent Green misdirect, but only because I want to believe that Vince Gilligan is smarter than spelling out the #Pluribus twist this way. Until we find out more next week my guess is the bodies are being Aqua cremated. How the milk cartons are involved is anyone’s guess.

Carol tested the fake milk and it came back as a 7.1 pH. The human body has a pH of about 7 and we haven’t seen the #Pluribus bury their dead the way Carol has. We just might have a Soylent Green situation ahead of us.

That latest #Pluribus cliffhanger is doing me dirty right now. What’s in the freezer?!

Apple really trying their hardest to keep me from updating to iPadOS 26.1 by hiding my buttons.

Finished this season of Slow Horses and got to tune in to hear the Jays take Game 5. What an excellent way to end the night! #LetsGoBlueJays

Upgraded my old laptop memory to 32GB to do some modelling, but decided to fire up Diablo 4 to see how much of a visual difference it would make. Holy moly is it ever different! Wish I’d done this years ago because everything was a blurry pixelated mess 😭

Saved the pickle juice from my last jar of pickles and added some newly chopped baby cucumbers to see if I could make pickles. After just a couple of days, it’s working pretty well. Gotta find out how long I can keep this pickle train rolling!

It’s another one of those waking nights when my brain is playing another volume of greatest regrets.

Pulling the trigger and converting my journal to a Bullet Journal for the remainder of the year. I found out I was essentially already doing this at work in Notion, so hopefully applying it to my personal life will be a natural fit.

One of my existential fears is that my entire life has been a vivid illusion dreamt up by my comatose mind, and that all of my friends and loved ones are manifestations of people I’ve come across in passing at some point in my life.

Looking back on pictures of the kids when they were younger makes me happy to see them growing, but sad at the same time because that version of them is over.

My library copy of The Bullet Journal Method has finally arrived! I haven’t borrowed a library book in a long while, so seeing other people’s underlines and notes is a little weird (in pen, no less!).

Watching Shin Godzilla tonight. I’m only 30 minutes in and the insane bureaucracy is killing me. Guys, I don’t know if I’m gonna make it to the end!

Sometimes I wonder if the reason I keep myself up at night is not because I’m not tired, but because I’m less than willing to confront the things my heart has to say.

Finished season 2 of The Sandman. It was everything I hoped it’d be and more. I wasn’t entirely sure about the casting last season at first, but now I believe there may never be another Dream of the Endless quite like Tom Sturridge.
