Despite depression and burn out I’ve been forcing myself to run 4-5 times per week. This week was a good one. Just done 6 miles and hit 20 for the week. Nothing compared to some but I’ve not run much these last months.

A week off with no plans and not having to do anything was nice. The thought of going back on Monday is awful. Been told I’m burnt out but my GP is doing nothing. I don’t feel like I can work any more. I’m just numb and dissociating but pretending to be fine while I’m there. It’s exhausting.

I’ve run 15 miles this week. 5 x 3 miles. Not a lot really. In part it’s because of my injured toe and issues with scar tissue in my heel. Another is that I’m not enjoying running. I’m doing it only to keep fit but that’s not enough. Not sure what I’ll do if I can’t find the joy in it again.

Had a week or so off from running as I’ve been unwell. More like more unwell than normal. It wasn’t awful but I’m so fed up with the slow build up of fitness that then gets stuffed by illness. I’ve had more comebacks than Status Quo. #RunningPunks
