House of Dutch Pot brings Jamaican/Carribean food to the west side. The jerk chicken has a dark sauce with a deep rich flavor. It goes great with the rice and peas.

Just east of the airport, Humo Barbeque offers an interesting Mexican spin on familiar bbq. They do all the standards meats with a little tex-mex spice. The sides like street corn and refried beans are much more unique.

Buldogis, by Boca Park, has gotten a lot of attention on the internet recently but I've been a huge fan for many years. The Bulgogi Dog and the Euro Special Fries with bacon and mayo are extraordinary.

Four Kegs is a Vegas institution built on their Original Stromboli with ham, sausage, salami, and pepperoni. The focaccia style dough on the strombolis and pizzas is always cooked perfectly. The decor and website are vintage 90s.

The chef at Aroma was a finalist for a James Beard Award last year, but for some reason the restaurant is never busy. It's a good place to take a date to show them that you know cool little places without spending a lot of money.

Island Deli is one of my favorite places in town and I never see it mentioned online. Their chicken truffle crunch sandwich is fantastic, featuring crushed Doritos. The deli meat sliders are good, too.
