My dragon being mammalian makes it harder to give it freakish features lol. The most outlandish I think I can implement is your abrasive oils idea, and/or my fireproof blood idea. Manganese-based blood or something.

Yea I was thinking just scorch marks. Seems gnarly but I don’t know of mammalian features that make them fireproof from within, unless they have fireproof blood or something
