220 years ago on this day in 1805, the Treaty of Pressburg was signed. After their defeat at Austerlitz, the Austrians were forced to give territory to the French.
The signing took place in the Primatial Palace in Bratislava.

Visited Whiddy Island near Bantry, West Cork yesterday. Three redoubts were built there in the early 1800's by the British to protect against a French invasion.
