What we need as trans people is for people to take action with us against those who would harm our community. But this isn’t even asking for that. Or material aid. Or even asking them to publicly support us! It is only asking for the replacement of one free game with another one. “No” feels shitty.

I have limited sympathy for those for whom this is not a breaking point. I understand that we all make compromises on our ethics for the sake of joy, and joy is a necessary part of life- but to suggest Fortnite is an irreplaceable joy lends it a power I sincerely doubt it deserves.

This is pretty ignorant of the power of collective action. Boycotts caused measurable change with Montgomery buses, Target, and apartheid, not to mention the intangible changes protests can cause like making people not want to work with Epic.

If Fortnite is the last joy in your life, I pity you.

Follow your intervention plan. These feelings exist for a reason but they need to be clarified and distilled. Your story has a meaning *because* something can be learned by it.

Consider carefully if this is where you want this post to be, then selfishly take the support that any person would need.

I've seen it happen a lot with the terms "twink" or "bottom" or "femboy." Even if the streamer has opened themselves up to being the butt of the joke on occasion (which is a strategy, not a requirement) being on stream doesn't annul their right to self definition...
