I've completely rewritten an old novella to the point that - apart from the fundamental plot - it's completely different. Including 12 new chapters, 7 new characters.
But some people think don't think it counts as a new book. "I've already read it so I won't again."

I saw The Killings at Badger's Drift (Midsomer Murders) play at Richmond Theatre yesterday. I loved it because it took dialogue from the 1987 novel. It was a hybrid between book and TV.
It was cool seeing Daniel Casey (Troy on TV) playing DCI Barnaby. The dream sequence made me laugh out loud.

Part 12 of my book discusses three psychiatrists who examined Richard Ramirez before the trial.
They all found him to have Temporal Lobe Epilepsy and brain damage. These were untreated and left him with psychosis.

Part 12 of my book discusses three psychiatrists who examined Richard Ramirez before the trial.
They all found him to have Temporal Lobe Epilepsy and brain damage. These were untreated and left him with psychosis.

2nd Draft update: I feel the story is more streamlined now. I took the end of chapter 3 and the beginning of chapter 6 and moulded them into a new chapter. Things feel more open, clearer.
