I enjoy the way that Dungeons of Blood & Dream frames its upgrades and unlocks. You unlock new areas and items through dialogue with NPCs utilizing concepts you've gathered. Meta progression isn't unique, but you can skip to unlocking the last level immediately if you know your captor's name. P cool
