It would be improper for a man to think that sinners in Gehenna are deprived of the love of God.

Orthodoxy is never the easy path. It is also not the path of the arrogant or those who look to make others submissive. Humility is the hardest challenge. Crumbling your arrogance and ego to dust is required. Without that, you will learn nothing.
