I love how he had to classify the sort of fascism he likes as if he's trying to say "I'm not that bad"

I'm guessing it's more to combat spam but I'm wondering what "significant genai"means in this context.

regardless of what you think about ai can we not make the same sorts of arguments that have been leveled at new electronic art tools. this is the sort of stuff Duchamp disproved 100 years ago. develop some better cultural critique!

The fuck does "gender is a hard school" mean

I don't live in America. With all due respect to the VGHF (who I support) all I have to go on is their social media posts.

Regardless I'm not intending to pit one movement against another, it's just a minor ideological disagreement. Can we all get along?

I'm going to reserve full judgement until the panel discussing this issue comes online. What I will say is that while things should not STOP at what SKG is advocating, I don't see why we shouldn't take the chance we have and that consumer rights is not strictly antifetical in this specific case
January 11, 2026 at 6:09 AM
seems like their problem is more in their rhetoric and the fact that SKG is more focused on consumer rights as a means to better communicate with lawmakers (you cant say they don't care about culture if they imply that games can be 'killed')
January 10, 2026 at 10:01 PM
not quite sure if I agree if only because Ross is very clear at the very least about using the status of video games as product in order to negotiate with lawmakers. I don't think you suggest that games can be killed without implying a cultural value worth saving and he has talked about that in vids

I want to make software common property. No, not like that.

The only thing that could've balanced the YouTube part is if YouTube caption data could be searched in web search and naturally such a thing benefits Google more than anyone else
January 2, 2026 at 11:34 PM
I might be naive but I wonder how many of those new datacenters are even involved with ai, as that seems to be the main reason why more people care in the first place

This is just a stupid version of The Memex, a concept for a machine that can perfectly preserve and recall information stored within it.
