That article is a real piece of work. It claims 28% of African-Americans in California live below the poverty line, and cites to a Forbes Article. The Forbes article makes similar unfounded claims about California, but it does not contain the fact it's cited for, which also is pretty clearly false.

I may consider a different distro for my own personal computer, but I'm looking at migrating a small business of Win 10 computers (and some Win 11 computers) to a single OS distribution.

I went through a list of distributions and looked at which would be least likely to be a hassle to maintain across 6-10 different machines with users who are reluctant toward change and are not sophisticated users. Based on what I read, fedora seemed the most "general workstation".

I think that the protocol can be used for building a side community that integrates, but I think a federated system has to be structured. A service can't really host content without it's own content moderation, which I get, but also there's limited recourse. What we need is meaningful participation.

Saw an article titled "maybe AI was never a tool." The current implementation of LLM by Google, Microsoft, and OpenAI is precisely to deprive average users of access to the commons that the internet created. It's to make us use their service instead of having access to other people.

If you buy a Tesla yeah, but there were lower middle income people who wanted to "go green" and bought a Tesla for between one and two years wages.

Don't support people who actively undermine democracy. Don't drive a cybertruck. Just make sure your outrage is directed at those who deserve it.
