This is where I arrived with it recently. The memory doesn't go deep enough.

AI won’t magically become intelligent by stacking more reasoning models and retrieval systems. It needs grounding, memory, and purpose, and that’s what I can't stop thinking about.

To me, the big problem is that AI isn’t actually designed to remember, integrate, or understand anything. It is only built to produce. That’s the fundamental issue I’m trying to solve.

At the same time, self-correction and federated learning only get us so far if AI isn’t connected to real human interaction. Without that, even the most advanced systems will still degrade into noise over time.

AI shouldn’t be locked into a few centralized models where all data is funneled into black boxes. A decentralized, self-improving system could be huge, where memory is shared across communities but still keeps individual data private.

Source Context AI isn’t just another RAG system, it’s about structured recall, long-term memory, and actual learning. It’s designed to move past one-off lookups and into something more like integrated knowledge, where AI builds context over time rather than resetting every conversation.

AI today doesn’t actually “know” anything. It just searches a database every time you ask a question. That’s why current AI feels detached, like a forgetful expert that secretly cheats by googling every answer.

Wiring up an LLM, some reasoning models, and a bunch of agents isn’t going to change that. AI needs persistent recall, real-world grounding, and human interaction to be useful.

AI is designed to increase output rn. More content, more transactions, more automation. Untethered AI isn’t intelligence, it’s just a flood of disconnected responses. I have watched what happens when AI runs unchecked, and ends up spewing nonsense if there isn’t a human in the process.

If we can give AI that context, then it becomes a tool for strengthening bonds between people and communities, not just another system for boosting productivity.

To me, AI is wired completely backwards right now. It has no context for what’s happening around you. It has no real understanding of relationships, environments, or lived experiences.

It is challenging to use. It also copies whatever is in your clipboard whenever you open it so watch out for that.
