You ever mourn a dog you don't even have yet? After losing so many pets in the last few years(my fault for getting them all in my early 20s i guessssss), all I can think about when looking at puppies is they're going to be old and gone before I know it :'(

Also looking at mini american shepherds as a smaller alternative to aussies but those are harder to find, it seems. my ideal dog is like 20-30lbs in most breeds

I've narrowed it down to dachshund or aussie. I have a dachshund so I know everything about them already, but I've never had an aussie so now I'm in the research phase for those! Anyone here have aussies? Anything you wish you knew before you got one?
