Correct. But we wouldn't be in this pickle if not for progressives not all of them not most of them. Just enough to allow Republicans to pack the court by refusing to support Democratic nominees.

Progressives lose elections for Democrats. Been that way since the 1960s.It is not all their fault but refusing to distance themselves from the extreme left on Gaza didn't help.
