I just realized that I have been mispronouncing the D&D species Aarakocra since August 1981.
"æ-ra-KO-kra" or "a-rah-KO-krah"
I have been saying “a-rah-COCK-rah”
As a result, I will now have to homebrew a D&D race with “cock” buried somewhere in the name to preserve my male vanity. 🤪
