Is it self expression? It's an algorithm you use to create images for sale without having to do anything more than a prompt.

That guitar and writing on the books truly never were. Game developers should get real artists though, not some AI slop.

It's not particularly interesting. Mr Civ Meier tried to reinvent the wheel and introduced some silly design choices – tech advantage is no longer a thing, leaders make no sense, you need to switch civs between ages etc. While civ was always whimsical and abstract, this is honestly not my jam
