Lead Accessibility Designer for Diablo 4, Dungeon Master, Warhammer Painter, MtG player, Bear Tank rawr, all my opinions are my own.
When talking to my UI designers, my answer is always, “no, this is not large enough”. They respond, “really?” And I respond, “yep”

Sorry. Yes. We should always be aiming larger. Current Microsoft rules require no smaller than 18px. I prefer sitting at 22 as the smallest allowed.

It means 13.5pt font. We typically round up to 14 which is 19px. This size is readable on a switch handheld screen. :)

Shouldn’t be going below 18 pixels for the smallest shown font! Let players scale up to 26-28 pixels! Make assumptions about your target platforms. Console on a 40 inch TV 10 feet away, 7.4 inch Steam Deck, 6.2 inch Switch Screen.

The Xbox adaptive controller is a go to for me along with one of my children. It’s really a game changer.

Naw it’s cool. I literally did this while being recorded for a Walking the Talk podcast on accessibility at work this week. You’re fine. 😅
