This is probably dumb but I would love - like - a "TV Mode" for streaming services. Plumb in a few keywords and create a playlist of shit I might like to have on all day. I'd love that.

There's a bunch of map making programs and websites out there that'll make good looking maps, from world maps to towns or battle maps for RPGs. I use Inkarnate to rough out the continents, forests and mountain ranges, then draw over it and add my own details.

Cool thing about this is you'll develop this little portfolio of hex crawl maps and NPC relationships which you can use again when the party returns to that settlement.

So you can be like, "remember that adorable Dweller farm girl that told you about the bandits? She's now leading the bandits."

So the point crawl map will be how you travel between settlements, and at settlements you can quickly generate a mini-hex crawl with the settlement at the centre.

You'll roll a Feature, a Threat, and an Opportunity, and the party will have to figure out where they are from NPC rumours.

Problem with the old map (aside from a lot of lazy naming schemes) was that there was no reason for the edges of the map to stop.

Here, you've got Fae to the north, fungal forests west, endless desert to the south, and sea monsters to the east.

Plus it looks a lot more battered by bored gods.

Sneak peek at the point crawl map of V&V 2.0.

Makes a bit more sense if Uanorl's on the Human / Dwarf side of the world, and explains all the half-elves, half-dwarfs and Dwellers around.

Humans are most prevalent from Castle Shagwell to Hammen-Toil, with Orcs, Gobs, Centaurs and Satyrs in tow.

The second half of the book is mostly onboarding stuff for GMs. Dungeons, maps, hexcrawls, generators, stuff like that. Plus the enemies and random encounters.

It sort of became a mission to eliminate as much prep-work for GMs as possible.
