The only thing it fixed was letting you move off Noctis gameplay when you're bored. Not like the others are that much more of an improvement and it's jankily implemented, but it's something.

Even as someone who doesn't necessarily mind crossover stuff (done well), it's something that should really feel like a special occasion that immediately stops feeling like it when it's 90% of your product line-up. Eating cake for every meal shit.
