If only there was a coequal branch of government that could put an end to the Sabre rattling. This would be a great time for Congress to speak out and remind “President DJT” that THEY are the ones who declare war and that no, we’re not going to go to war with Venezuela.

Depends. If Trump is still in charge when (or before, if a preemptive pardon) he goes on trial, then maybe. On the other hand, even if GOP is in charge down the road, they may be willing to make him a sacrificial lamb. Going to war with South American countries will be deeply unpopular in the US.

And temporary rentals. Our little town of 7,000 people has over 150 VRBOs. Everything affordable got snapped up. The school’s enrollment has plummeted over the past several years. Now, the Ohio Legislature is trying to pass a law that will remove the caps that communities have set for the VRBOs.

A young friend of mine was told by his landlord that his rent was going to substantially go up. He asked the landlord if he was going to fix all of the problems with the apartment then, and the landlord said no. He asked what justified the raise and was told “because I can.”

I hear you. Was talking to my (retired) dad today. He got a notice that his insurance was going from an out of pocket of $4500 to $9500. Anthem is dropping a bunch of other benefits, too.
If that’s what the Rs are allowing to happen to Seniors. It’s gonna be hella worse for the ACA.

And even having insurance doesn’t help sometimes. My dad was prescribed a medication and the insurance company denied it (probably because it’s expensive). This country’s healthcare is insane.
