At my last job (at an R1 university), there was a lactation room but it was basically a converted storage closet with no sink because they'd given the lactation room to the head of catering so he could make himself a nice office.

Having moved around a lot (and as a person with some major health issues) I think very often about the disparities in care between other parts of the country and where I am now (in the NYC area-- with access to great specialists)
