Challenged myself with a limited color palette for this little one. While I love the puppy eyes, I realized I miss the energy of my usual stylized, colorful work.

I may not have named you yet little bird merchant but I do know I would die for you.

As the days get colder & the nights get longer here in the northern hemisphere, folktales are full of the eerie, the creepy, the supernatural & the slightly sinister Yuletide characters. I have an ongoing collection of linocut prints (and holiday cards!) full of festive characters like the Yule Cat
