Happy Chihuahua Appreciation Day. These tiny dogs became popular in the 19th during a boom in the popularity of lapdogs. These teeny (often loud mouthed) dogs were likely a type of mixed breed. They’re named Chihuahua after the state in Mexico where they were discovered and taken to the USA.

Resharing this from 11 years ago. Never too early for Halloween. “All hallows eve” by Linen Closet Designs. This was the first quilt I ever made and I’ve not managed to complete any others since! Still working on the Crabapple Hill Studios Halloween quilt some 11 years later.

I’ve now taken to disguising Jane Austen’s fictional character quotes into ordinary work emails. I’m in week 2 and it’s quite addictive. TV adaptation quotes are also acceptable.

Absolutely love and recommend Destination Wedding with Winona and Keanu. Surely the marketing pitching it as a romcom is to blame for the poor reviews. It would be perfect for stage rather than screen.

Wonderful 3 days in Edinburgh, would love to post cultural photos but unfortunately I used any photo opportunities to take snaps of us being very drunk. We did manage to visit the vaults and the castle. Great city! Apologies to my friends and my liver..

I don’t get it. How is dismantling 50 years of species protection accord with Labour's repeated election promises not to weaken the legislation. And it’s for no good reason. Is it just me?
