That passage confused me as well. They must have changed it. I do not see it. It is a really beautiful mess, tho. Nice to see the location shot, as well. There should be a cryptic small plaque or inscribed stone: "Here stood Ben's Shack. It had no door."

"Smirr. A Scottish word to describe a fine, drifting rain or drizzle." Lovely shot. I need to add smirr to my vocabulary, we have this a lot in this area (Pacific Northwest). It doesn't even count as precipitation in the forecasts. Good for your skin.🙃

Yup, I was a bit confused. I'm new to these parts and have not made it up to Shi-Shi beach but now I have a new item on my list of must-sees. Have been less than moblie this past year (hip problems) and have had to curtail the hikling activities. You are a fountain of ideas!
