I’m against these stupid semantic games the Democrats always seem hellbent on losing- see open borders, defund the police. Abolish ICE, okay what about CBP? I’m all for fundamentally restructuring, DHS, but if we are to have *some* enforcement to me that falls into the reform category.

I honestly welcome anyone who is outraged by this, this isn’t the time for purity tests, schisms and wish casting a tidy revolution just around the corner.

There’s never been more of a difference between the parties, the other party is in power doing terrible shit, people repeatedly say they want some kind of immigration enforcement, so naturally it’s time for absolutes, quasi-anarchical is the state necessary or just a means of oppression bull.

This is such an American obsession with absolutes and hyperbole? What wrong with the word reform? You can fold them into an agency, reorganize and reform into irrelevance, why start out with ABOLISH!!!?

I think we’re all having a hard time wrapping our mind around all the inflation and changing our thresholds, $400ish for us made re-solable boots in 2010 wouldn’t have felt as crazy

As the parent of a kid in daycare, we see the other parents and staff all the time, if a group of unknown folks showed up with cameras and some vague story about dropping someone off mid day, I hope to god the staff would tell to fuck off
