I thought I'd bring some new music to the Austin @amrecordersociety.bsky.social meeting. So we played music from:
1. Violet Evergarden (Japanese series)
2. Legend of Zelda (video game)
3. Tale of the nine-tailed (Korean series)
and of course
4. A Hatsune Miku song!

I decided to time my drive home from UT at 5pm. Taking all major roads: 22 minutes at 20mph average. Going through all neighborhoods, (almost) never getting out of 2nd gear: 25 minutes at 18.5mph. Draw your own conclusions.

"Girdling" invasive ligustrum. They will slowly die in place, get absorbed in the ecosystem, become a hiding place for insects and such. @shoalcreekconservancy <= not yet on bsky? Tsk.

The @blantonmuseum.bsky.social opens a new exhibit including cool surrealist art by Arshil Gorky and Isamu Noguchi. Ok, the "Monument to Ben Franklin" is not terribly "sur" but it tickled my fancy.
