I'm reading into this as more of a discussion about exclusives than consoles. If they just put a time limit on all exclusive games they would eventually reach a much broader audience.

I think you'll still be shocked. It is very much being marketed as a console-like experience as it's for entertainment and not a workstation, but I expect the price will be far more expensive than something much more powerful that you could just build yourself. But it's Valve so of course OMG!!

I want to see it for no other reason than the only other horror I've seen him in was Bodies Bodies Bodies, and I loved that one. The trailer doesn't exactly do it any favors. Going in with pretty low expectations.
