We rule the SATs... years of selection for rote learning have made desis masters of standardized tests!!

Here's an idea: keep extending Medicare coverage every couple of years. First people over 60 become eligible, then people over 55 and so on... gradual transition to allow the system to adjust. Go after pharma price gouging. Open more medical colleges. Make paperwork easy to allow private practice.

My theory is that a large percentage of people simply follow the prevailing wisdom... if there's a smart leader advocating smart things, they appear smarter and if there's a dumb leader advocating stupid things, then that's what the populace reflects.
