We are worried about our students. There is a misapprehension that behaving "unhappy" gives an impression of worldliness or that it signals empathy to the world’s problems. What is worse- suppressing happiness changes your capacity for joy.

Very exciting lab update! 🎉 We’re so thrilled to officially welcome Zach Anderson as a postdoc. Zach is returning to Northwestern after earning his PhD here.

His work focuses on computational models that characterize neural circuits underlying depression, psychosis, and emotion related processes.
