I dig. I had also sustained some, ah, reversals of fortune going into my 40th (pre-COVID; what a drag it is getting old). I wouldn't say I've made peace with it, or that age confers any kind of wisdom, but I'm too tired for it to bother me now. Maybe that's the best you can hope for.

Disney's Headless Horseman scared the living shit out of 9-year-old me. I have to ask: How's impending 40 treating you? Because I gotta tell you, it really bothered me. (I realized I couldn't trade on my potential anymore, and wasn't happy with what I'd accomplished.)
