After nearly 19 years as an organizer/rep/director in the labor movement I've realized 2 major problems: Unions will not work together to build power and Unions do not invest in developing the future of their own movement.

The only actual hope is if communities who are most at risk, that also includes working-class white communities, start organizing like the Panthers. Don't do the DSA thing or the marching thing. Organize your community and build there.

I agree with some left critiques of AOC and don’t think we need to mindlessly applaud her or think she’s free of fault but every time I see her it’s like “why is she the only notable democratic politician as mad about all this shit as they should be?”

It's a total crime to have not voted Andruw Jones to the HOF. For 10+ years he was the BEST at his position in baseball. The idea that Tony Perez and Sandburg are in the HOF and AJones is not, is a black mark on that institution.
