This actually explains why the movie version of the scene got played up even more than that TV version. I love it.

Also, fun aside: I was in the theater when the Zeta trilogy was playing at the Chicago Film Festival. When that scene ended, I heard the loudest applause behind me.

One of the first mecha BL works shown at Comiket was from a rather large Grendizer FC. Daimos had such a massive community of both fujos and non-fujos "shipping" that Tadao Nagahama funded events where they could meet up and make friends. I don't think its fair to say the latter due to Gundam imo

Huge breakthrough on this project I expected to be done with months ago - I finally got some of the more finicky discs (like the Gunbuster Encyclopedia Concentrate, which I uploaded to IA almost two years ago(!)) working properly under VM so there will be much more video than I expected at launch
