My 4:45 pm vinyl is "Sinatra & Strings" by Frank Sinatra with the arrangements by Don Costa. I always wondered why they called him "Chairman Of The Board". Its also cool to see that Reprise label with his face on it spinning on my turntable.

My 3:56 pm vinyl is the 1984 debut from Sam Harris who was a big deal during the eighties when he was a "Star Search" contestant. He ended up recording his debut on Motown and this is the first time that I'm listening to it.

My 11:45 am vinyl is "Rated Extraordinaire" by Johnny Taylor which has been sitting on my shelf for the last four years and I never got around to playing. Today is as good a time as any.

My 10:50 vinyl is the classic "Ain't That A Bitch" by Johnny Guitar Watson who was totally beloved by Frank Zappa. Watson even appeared on a couple of Zappa's albums.

My 4:24 pm vinyl is "Thankful N' Thoughtful" by soul singer Bettye LaVette who just makes one incredible album after another. She does a great interpretation of Bob Dylan's "Everything Is Broken and Gnarls Barkley's "Crazy".

I'm beyond thrilled that I picked up tickets for December 7th for "Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair". I haven't seen it in a theater since it was first released. The screening we're going to is 90% sold out.

My 12:55 pm vinyl is the 1980 album "City Nights" by the Latin group Tierra that had a brief chart hit with "Together". They actually appeared on "Soul Train" at one point.

My 5:28 pm post work vinyl is "Raise" by Earth, Wind & Fire because I've basically rediscovered this band a month ago and I'm totally blown away by the arrangements that they came up with on their songs. I'm so glad that they were inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame.

My 12:11 Sunday afternoon vinyl is "General Hospi-tale" by Afternoon Delights. I tripped over this when I was bin hunting in a Peoria record store. I never knew that they made a full album because I always thought it was just a twelve inch hit single during the early eighties.

My 10:44 am vinyl is "Mother's Finest Live" by Mother's Finest from Atlanta, GA. The band is still actively touring. Joyce Kennedy has one of the best rock singing voices next to Ann Wilson from Heart.

My 9:15 am vinyl on a beautiful Sunday morning is "Winner Takes All" by The Isley Brothers which is a two record set that rarely gets mentioned but it's a solid groove. They were such a tight outfit back in the day.

My 7:44 am Sunday morning vinyl as I try to wake up is "The Supremes Sing Holland-Dozier-Holland" by The Supremes. At Motown, Brian Holland along with Lamont Dozier and Eddie Holland were the staff writers that wrote a lot of their chart hits and a lot of hits for other Motown artists.

My 12:08 pm vinyl is "Oops! Wrong Planet" by Utopia which contains "Trapped" and "Love Is The Answer" which are my two favorite songs from them.
