Thankfully Rich was able to sort something temporary (with hopes to make it permanent) out last minute

Another bunch of lesser spotted charity shop cd’s picked up from the same shop I had the last lot I posted up the other week (top 2 in left are Iceage albums) over this last week. Also picked up Can Tago Mago on cd there for a friend as I’ve got it on cd & record! Been a hell of a run on cd’s there!

Some excellent and unexpected charity shop cd finds today, Miles Davis, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Kyuss and Swans, less than £5 spent. The Swans one was a real surprise to see, a double cd and a live DVD package.

Last record postal delivery of the year, OCS/Thee Oh Sees/OSees Live at Permanent Records. Ive now got 42 albums/Comps/Live Albums/EP’s/12”s by the band across various name monikers. Seeing them back in a tiny basement bar in 2010 turned me from a fan to fully obsessed with them!

Yeah, I’d have been happy if I’d only won this, the first package I got was this Dylan and The Band triple lp set which is fantastic

Had the 2nd of the 4 quarter subscription to @thirdmanrecords.bsky.social Vault Packages I won arrive today, Iggy And The Stooges Raw Power 7” Boxset, with the album across 4 7”s and 2 bonus outtakes 7”s, as well as a replica back patch of the picture of his jacket on the original album sleeve

Great evening at Rough Trade Nottingham for an in conversation, Q&A, signing & DJ set with Don Letts. Engaging, energetic, funny, lots of great stories told, both musical and personal. Great to meet him, a big of a hero of mine having worked with 2 of my favourite bands, The Slits & The Clash

Saw about this compilation early this week, released by Honest Jon’s Records. The sleeve & knowing Checker was linked to Chess Records made me check it out on Bandcamp, within 4/5 snippets of songs I ordered it. Played it tonight, funky, soulful, uplifting, an absolute cracker. Check it out.

Tonight, and a first time viewing, #WimWenders Wings Of Desire. A birthday present from a friend last month. I love Paris, Texas and Perfect Days is one of my favourite films of this year, so looking forward to adding another WW film to film watching belt as such.

Still on a high from seeing #NickCaveandtheBadSeeds last night, felt very cathartic, powerful and uplifting. I’ll never be an arena gig fan, but they made it feel so much more personal than anything I’ve ever experienced in an arena.

Listening to #NickCaveandtheBadSeeds Wild God ahead of seeing live for the 1st time tomorrow, been a fan for years, was going to go the previous cancelled tour. Meeting him was an incredible experience, as soon as he saw my Suicide t shirt he got excited & had a conversation about the band.

Listening to #NickCaveandtheBadSeeds Wild God ahead of seeing live for the 1st time tomorrow, been a fan for years, was going to go the previous cancelled tour. Meeting him was an incredible experience, as soon as he saw my Suicide t shirt he got excited & had a conversation about the band.
This double CD compilation helped open the floodgates to the world of Post Punk/No Wave and much more, I bought it when I was 20/21 (2004) my record/cd collection and my musical tastes wouldn’t be the same without it. It’s also cost me a bloody fortune over the years!

Giving one of my Christmas record gifts a listen now, R.E.M.’s ‘Up’. With this added to my R.E.M. collection it’s just the recent reissues of Reveal, Around The Sun and Collapse Into Now I need to buy (got a bit of Christmas cash to do so) to have a complete studio album collection by them.
