The tariff element should not be multiplied up the chain, but instead added after multiplication. Instead of Retail price being 4 x (Port + Tariff) it should be (4 x Port) + Tariff. Adding, in the above example, £36.25 to a $100 pair.

Fun fact: the Brogues holes in leather boots used to be completely punched through to allow for drainage of water, when country people would walk in boggy land. So you would be just carrying on that tradition.

So adapt the formula (The Tangerine Tyrant made up his own), they are just being greedy or rigid thinkers, these are exceptional times. Manufacturers tell Wholesalers their tariff per item --> Wholesalers add that value --> & so on. Change happens. Again, I wish this wasn't happening.

He said a $10 increase in imported denim per garment leads to a $40 increase in retail price, why? (why not just $10?) BTW I am against tariffs except for "green-tax" reasons.

You could buy beer from your local brewery (as near as you can) for obvious reasons. Some even do "Lager", if not IPA is "Lager" with much more flavour. Re-educate your palette, no one with any degree of sophistication drinks the same thing all of their life.

They used to do a 10%-ish stout, that was priced similarly to just over 5% beers, I see now the 10% ones are priced like wine (tbf it could be the duty changes).

There are "hidden"-button collars (the original ones devised for polo players), where the buttons are under the collar tips. They tend to be hi-end brands (don't ask me which, idk).
