On Saturday I wore a nice outfit up to London and no less than 3 strangers (all women) complimented me on it.

This is one of the nicest things about being a woman.

I saw a seamlessly realistic ad on YouTube featuring Adele promoting apple cider vinegar supplements. As if. It’s a scary era we’re entering.

My wife actually stitched a full size section of the #BayeuxTapestry using the proper stitching techniques, with added Tardis. She exhibited it at the Dublin Worldcon and it's currently on our wall! #DoctorWho

4 months after travelling all the way to Bayeux to see the tapestry it is announced it is coming to London! I got to see it in a beautiful town and had it to myself for the first hour after opening, so I don’t mind.

I’ve had a bit of a tough time at work lately so am hooked on babies having chiropracty, women telling me my eyebrows are all wrong and a self sufficiency lad whose bought a Scottish cottage.

Bob Mortimer walked past me in Tunbridge Wells earlier today. I’m certain it was him.

I think a cat has discovered our pond. I’ve found two dead fish on the lawn in recent days. The dog is too old and hot to act as a deterrent.

Husband naively saying he’s going out to buy ice at around 5pm. It’s like that time he thought he could procure Quality Street on December 23rd.

My Dad is well known for suddenly coming out with amazing life experiences he’s never mentioned before. Turns out he saw The Beatles recording at Riverside studios in 1962 when he was working as a BBC engineer.

This morning I have to do the recycling and dye my hair. Both absolutely hateful jobs.

What a revolutionary item the Walkman was. I have a memory of listening to this Kim Wilde whilst Dad was at Abbey car breakers trying to find a part for the Marina. That car used to take up his whole weekend! #forgotten80s

Putting my winter wardrobe into storage. There is no surer way to ensure bitter, windy weather..

Leigh Bowery at the Tate Modern utterly absorbing. Radical and subversive as he was, I think he would have risen to the status of national treasure if he’d lived.

It’s drying weather! Went to get my nice fresh PJs off the line and a bird had shat on them.

This reminds me of Johnson’s government. Almost daily cock ups brazened out by ministers who weren’t held accountable.

Planning my visit to Paris I note that EU residents don’t need to pay to get into the Louvre, so as a Brit I now have to. Thanks Brexit.

I spent a good hour today working out exactly where my August holiday home is on Google street view and figuring out bus routes. There is a Sainsbury’s local and a bookshop. 🤗

Booked my first ever @edfringe.bsky.social show today, ‘Italian horror stories’. Very excited.

I’ve officially got cubital tunnel syndrome. Husband says typical me; I have to be different to everyone else with their carpal.

Loved listening to the 1990 day on 6 Music. Every song a banger. A year when I was young and the world seemed full of possibility.
