Wow. Got defensive real quick here bud. So do the countless numbers of guns out there stack up to a fighting chance or not? No one said anything about collecting. If we're not gonna use the 2A for what it was intended, all it is is a right to have loud toys that make small men feel big.

These are the same people who vote to "get all the Mexicans out" and then throw a hissy fit when their favorite taco place shuts down. I'm not sure reminders would help, but I appreciate the optimism.

Oh I'm sure the cons will. Their entire life is about being angry. They might forget for a few months while they have something else to be angry about, but I guarantee you Superbowl weekend, they will 100% be mad. Just like they've been every weekend for the past 10+ years.

At first maybe, with local militias, etc. The 2nd amendment hasn't really been relevant until recently. And now the government's guns far outmatch anything the citizens have. Nevermind that unless people utilize it, it means shit all at the end of the day. Might as well turn them all in.

As someone living in the rural North, it's hilarious and sad to hear people complain about how "winters aren't what they used to be" and in the same breath refuse to admit climate change is real.

It's always been that way. This picture we created of an America where everyone is accepted and everyone has a shot at a better life? It's not real. It never was. Even for immigrants who left war-torn 3rd world counties, our "leaders" are just doing the same shit. Oh, but we have iPhones. Great.

Man it's incredibly hard to know how someone so far removed from our own time and culture would take something like this.

It's not about the kids. It never is. Kids are blank slates ready to learn. You can teach them whitewashed history, or you can teach them actual history, and to them it's all the same. Kids don't feel bad about things that happened before they were born.

I wish I would see more politicians going to peoples' homes, sitting down, and actually talking to them about their problems - and then following it up with action! Take notes, everyone, this is what REAL leadership looks like.
