Snow is definitely better than ice. We're on the very edge of the ice, and they're starting to shut down and cancel everything now. We'll probably get just enough black ice to make Sunday and Monday a mess.

We're anxiously watching the forecasts here. My kid and their partner were supposed to road trip to TN for a concert this weekend, and I'm supposed to be at a big LEGO club show, but I fear none of these things will actually be possible.

When I saw the post I immediately thought about God's Own Junkyard. It's on my London trip list, but I haven't made it out to Walthamstow yet. Maybe the 2026 trip will be the one!

A historical note for people who want examples - "female husband" was a term used in the 18th century. Fielding wrote about a widely publicized example in 1746. Wikipedia has 8 known people under this entry from 1680-1829, so imagine how many more were never found out and just lived their lives.
