Dad lives in Long Beach but was born and raised in the Twin Cities. He HATES CA drivers when it rains. He & my stepmom were here in early December and he was THRILLED to get to drive in snow again. He kept saying how nice it was to not have to fear the other drivers in bad weather.

Scalpers bought a ton of those packages early & had to start dumping tickets CHEAP when it became clear their gamble failed.

They didn't start selling single game tickets until right before Christmas & they didn't advertise that fact very well. I didn't realize it until a friend posted that she'd bought tickets for her & her daughter. Those prices were for the package, which was the only thing available until that point.

Minnesota here. We really are rabid about hockey. Going to the state hockey tournament is an excused absence for school days. There WAS a lot of interest in the juniors until we saw the prices. I'm not paying more to see juniors than I do to see the Wild.

I'm a hockey fan IN the Twin Cities and I hope the Olympics and World Cup take note. This isn't what anybody was expecting when it was awarded to us in 2024.

Follow me here- we have jobs that can and absolutely will fire our asses for ANY reason. We rely on those jobs for our health insurance. Call me crazy, but I think functional people protesting on a Saturday is better than incapacitated people laying on the ground on a Wednesday.
