This is such an overblown complaint. Pretty much every recipe site has a "jump to recipe" button that skips all of that stuff. I just googled "mashed potatoes recipe" and every single link on the first page of results has a jump to recipe link. Every one of them.

Letters From a Nut is incredible. To this day I'll randomly think of "the biggest damn eagle I ever seen" and laugh. Not sure if that one was in the first or second book.
