Yeah, made me mad back then but now it’s funny. It was all just totally abstract UI stuff but he wanted the “lightning” to be “correct” I guess. I asked him one time if he’d ever seen anything lit from below, but he argued it wasn’t what people “expect.” I shouldn’t have caved to that logic, anyhow.

Our whole political class are criminals at this point. When Democrats don’t do anything besides provide the impression of pushback, without any strength, over and over, they’re really just facilitating the GOP.

I heard the team all just let her in because, is she really just doing this unscheduled, but also are you really going to tell her no?? It was probably the most famous moment in that whole show’s history though.

Mariah’s 9/11 was that TRL during that same period, when she showed up unannounced, throwing lollipops at people and I still remember it so very fondly.
