Yesterday's weekend jaunt was at Independence Grove Forest Preserve in Libertyville, IL. I would imagine this place is insane in the heart of summer. The Des Plaines River Trail cuts thru the park so it *may* be possible to avoid the $12 parking fee for non-residents by finding parking elsewhere.

i got sicker so last night i bought some apples to cook a traditional chinese medicine remedy for my throat. i suffered all night from backdrip, hoarse throat, and a cough so when i got up i started boiling the tea. two sips later, i kid you not, my throat feels MUCH better. this is nuts
