Ppl want the optics of wear & personalization w/out having to do the work of those things which require time & self expression. They’re buying the guaranteed validation of cosplaying approved looks. To be one self is to risk rejection.

i actually wish capsule wardrobes were marketed as a PART of your closet so you can add other pieces when wanted and have just your true OGs ready to go for your fave everyday looks
Which is also why those "capsule wardrobe" videos (that I absolutely hate) are so popular, they sell a successful formula or cheat code to be seen as stylish when you don't even have style. They're palatable. The problem comes when the same people that are being sold this formula come across
