Supporting small businesses means more than celebrating openings. It means standing with them through construction, permitting, and economic disruption so they can stay rooted and thrive. I’m grateful for leaders like Teto who invest here with integrity.

I first met Teto through his Live Your Healthy Lyfe work and saw how intentional inclusion was built into everything he does. Making sure people felt welcomed and informed was not an afterthought. It was the work.

I’m asking because I’ve been listening to neighbors across District 2, and I want to stay focused on what actually affects people day to day, not just what shows up in reports.

I am proud to stand with Anna and everyone working to ensure families are supported with dignity. This is what community looks like, and this is the work I am committed to carrying forward.

Food insecurity is personal to me. As a single mother, I relied on food shelves and the volunteers who showed up with compassion. That experience stays with you and it shapes how you lead.

In that moment, we did what we could do.
We formed a circle.
We held hands.
And we prayed.

For the soul that was lost.
For the family who is hurting.
For our community that
continues to carry too much. 💔
