Looking at your work for #DrawingAugust again, your use of colour is complex and subtle yet with some fabulous contrasts, complements and juxtapositions. Such balanced composition too - working A5 and A6 must be challenging 👍😎

A pleasure James - your style is unique. Haven’t found mine yet. I’m learning so much on this varied Foundation & have encountered some great tutors, but I’m now ready to focus on/follow the pull and tug of certain materials and ideas.
And, what next after the course… gosh I wish I was younger ✨

Lovely to see your work again this year James - like glimpses into a harmonious parallel world.

Your clever use of line, colour and composition always makes me look closer and keeps my eye moving around the image 😎

Thanks again, there were colour thumbnails in between and I’d love to try going bigger, but it was a first proper attempt at acrylics and landscapes. Am loving my foundation course, probably much more so, 40 years later 😂

Thank you too - I’ve been learning so much in my foundation year😎

Thank you, they became acrylics on board - here’s one of them which became an abstract.

Hello James! Fabulous work as always!

Oops I blew it already!
Chaos here, am moving my expanding art kit out of dining room into a big shed atm. I’m really learning the necessity of a dedicated space but with a daughter just moved home we needed the dining room back. Excuses, excuses, I’ll get back into #drawingaugust soon. From June👇
