I did a quick calculation for BART subsides. I found that at an average trip of 7 miles plus the old Bart Subsidy was .12 cents a mile. At its low point it was over 1 dollar. (just estimations from public data)

Bus rapid transit is the way to go in DC. We have broad streets in many areas and can link to highways coming in.

Very interesting. Bikes/scooters are still a risky form of transportation even with bike lanes. We need more research on how these accidents happen and where on the road systems. Easy voluntary classes available on top of enforcement might help.
